Acceptable use policy
This policy sets out what you may and may not do with Human Forward's website, apps, AI tools and community platform. It is strict on purpose. We run shared infrastructure and third party AI services, and misuse by one user affects everyone else.
Scope
This policy applies to everyone who uses anything Human Forward LTD provides: the website at humanforward.io, the free findability score, our Shopify apps, our AI tools, our subscription services, the community platform and the white label apps we run for brands, and our sessions and consulting work. Services below means all of these.
It forms part of our website terms, our App and AI Tools Terms and every client contract. If you use the Services on behalf of a business, you are responsible for making sure everyone in that business who uses them follows this policy. A brand that runs a community on our platform must make sure its members follow the community rules below.
If this policy and another agreement with us conflict, the stricter rule applies.
Your responsibilities
You must:
- Use the Services only for lawful purposes and only in ways permitted by this policy
- Comply with every law that applies to you, your business and your customers, in every country where you operate, sell or market. That includes data protection, consumer protection, advertising standards, competition, intellectual property, export control and sanctions law, and any law that regulates the use of artificial intelligence
- Check that using AI tools in the way you intend is lawful where you are and where your customers are. Some countries restrict or prohibit particular AI uses, require disclosures when AI is used, or restrict the AI providers we rely on. If our AI tools cannot lawfully be used in your situation, you must not use them
- Keep your account details and credentials secure and tell us straight away if you think they have been compromised
- Make sure anything you submit is accurate and that you have the right to submit it
- Review AI outputs before you act on them or publish them
We do not monitor the laws of every country for you. Compliance with local law is your responsibility, not ours.
Prohibited uses
You must not use the Services to:
- Break any law, or help anyone else to
- Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights
- Harass, threaten, defame, discriminate against or harm anyone
- Create, store or share content that is illegal, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, or that exploits or endangers children
- Mislead people, including by impersonating a person or business, running scams, or producing fake reviews, testimonials or endorsements
- Do anything to do with health or medical matters, including diagnosis, treatment, medicines or supplements as health products
- Do anything to do with political campaigning, elections, lobbying or the influencing of public opinion on political matters
- Do anything to do with defence, military, weapons, dual use goods or surveillance of people
- Treat anything an agent says as a commitment by us. No agent can agree a price, a term or a contract for Human Forward LTD, and a price it gives is not a quote
- Send spam or unsolicited marketing, or build contact lists for it
- Collect personal data without a lawful basis, or process it in breach of data protection law
- Sell, resell, rent, sublicense or share access to the Services, or offer them as part of your own product, without a written agreement with us
- Build a product or service that competes with the Services using our outputs, our data or the way the Services work
- Copy, scrape, crawl, download or extract data from the Services other than through features we provide for that purpose
- Reverse engineer, decompile or try to discover our source code, prompts, models or methods
- Remove or hide any notice, branding or attribution we include
- Interfere with the Services or with any other user's use of them
Fair use of AI tools and free tiers
Our AI tools run on third party AI services that cost money every time they run. Free tiers and fixed price plans exist so people can use the tools in good faith, not to extract as much as possible. The following rules apply and we enforce them.
Usage limits
- The free findability score on our website may be run once per domain in any 14 day period
- The free tier of the Findability app may be run once per store per month
- Paid plans have the limits shown on the plan. Plans without a stated limit are for normal use by one store, and we may apply a fair use limit if your usage is far above what a store of your kind would need
- We may change limits with notice through the Services
Automation and evasion
- You must not use scripts, bots, headless browsers, scrapers or any automated method to access or run the Services unless we have given you an API and you use it within its terms
- You must not bypass, disable or interfere with rate limits, captchas, bot protection or any other control
- You must not create multiple accounts, stores, domains or email addresses to get around a limit
- You must only run scores on domains and stores that you own, operate or are authorised in writing to act for. Running scores on competitors, prospects or other third parties without their permission is not allowed
Resale and extraction
- Outputs are for your own business. You must not resell them, package them into reports for others, or publish them in bulk
- You must not use outputs or any part of the Services to train, fine tune or evaluate a machine learning model, or to build a dataset
- Agencies and consultants who want to use the Services for clients need an agency agreement with us first
If we think your usage is outside fair use we may slow it down, limit it, require you to move to a plan that fits, charge you for the excess at our usage rates, including on plans described as unlimited, or suspend or terminate your access. We do not refund fees for usage we stop under this policy.
We may rely on automated detection to identify usage outside fair use, and we may ask you to show that you own or are authorised to act for any domain or store you have submitted. If you cannot show it within five working days we treat the use as unauthorised. Our decision on what counts as fair use is final.
Rules for using our AI tools
- Review every output before you rely on it. AI tools make mistakes, produce content that is wrong, out of date or biased, and can give different answers to the same question. You decide what to use, and you are responsible for the result
- Do not use outputs as legal, financial, medical, tax or other professional advice, or present them to others as such
- Do not use the tools to make decisions about people that have legal or similarly significant effects on them, such as credit, employment, housing, insurance or access to essential services, unless a qualified human makes the decision
- Do not try to make the tools produce content outside their purpose, reveal their prompts or configuration, ignore their safeguards, or act against our or our providers' policies. The usage policies of our AI providers, including Anthropic and OpenAI, apply to your use and we will enforce them
- Where the law or a platform requires you to disclose that content is AI generated, or that a customer is interacting with AI, you must do so
- Where our agents act on your accounts, such as advertising, email or analytics accounts, you set the policies they work within and you remain responsible for the accounts, the spend and the content, as if you had done it yourself
- Do not submit confidential or personal data you are not entitled to share, and do not submit anything you would not be comfortable sending to a third party provider
Intended use only
The Services may only be used for the purpose they are built for, as described in the Service and its listing. The Findability app and the free score exist to assess and improve how your own store appears in search and AI answers. The digital team exists to run your own marketing accounts within the policies you set. The community platform exists to run a brand community. Nothing else.
It is a serious breach of this policy to use the Services, or any feature, prompt, endpoint or interface in them, as a way to reach the underlying AI models for any other purpose. This includes:
- Sending prompts, questions or content unrelated to the intended use in order to get a general answer from a model
- Trying to extract, override or manipulate our system prompts, configuration or safeguards, including by prompt injection or jailbreak techniques
- Automating or chaining requests to use the Services as an API, proxy or gateway to the models
- Using the Services to generate content or data for another product or service
- Submitting anything illegal, or anything that breaches the usage policies of the AI providers we rely on, including Anthropic's and OpenAI's. Those policies apply to you as if they were written here
Where we find this kind of use we treat it as a material breach and may do any or all of the following: charge you for every request involved at our usage rates plus our reasonable costs of investigating; suspend or terminate your access immediately without refund; recover any costs, fines or losses we suffer, including any charge or penalty from an AI provider; report you to the providers, to Shopify and to law enforcement; and take legal action against you. Our usage logs are the record of what was sent. You indemnify Human Forward in full for any claim, loss or cost arising from this kind of use, or from any malicious use of the Services.

If you find a security problem, email hello@humanforward.io. We welcome responsible reports and will not take action against anyone who reports in good faith and does not exploit or publicise the issue.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us permission to use it to provide the Services and as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the right to submit it and that it does not break this policy.
We may remove any content that we reasonably believe breaks this policy or the law, or that puts us or others at risk, and we do not have to tell you first.
Reporting abuse
Report misuse of the Services, or content that breaks this policy, to hello@humanforward.io. Include links and what you saw. We look at every report, may ask for more information, and will tell you the outcome where we can. We do not share the identity of the person who reported.
Enforcement
We decide, acting reasonably, whether this policy has been broken. Depending on how serious it is we may:
- Warn you
- Remove content
- Slow, limit or block access to a feature
- Suspend or terminate your account, subscription or app installation
- Terminate a client contract or brand agreement
- Charge you for usage outside fair use at our standard rates
- Report you to Shopify, to our providers, or to law enforcement or regulators
- Take legal action to recover our losses
We do not refund fees where we suspend or terminate for a breach of this policy. We may investigate suspected breaches, which can include reviewing your usage, inputs, outputs and content. We cooperate with law enforcement and regulators as the law requires.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy at any time by publishing a new version. Significant changes are notified through the Services or by email. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept it. Questions go to hello@humanforward.io. Our company details are in our Privacy Policy.
